The drama department at M-CHS has been around for a very long time, under the direction of several highly creative individuals. Being as this is only my fourth year as the program's director, I will provide you with a list and description of the ones I know about. Sweety Marbury acted as the program's director for more than 25 years, and under her direction, the program flourished. I have recently come across newspaper clippings and photos from her time at the school, and I hope - along with some help from the students - to create a history page for this website. So check back soon. After Ms. Marbury, a good friend of mine directed the program for a few years - Jenny Fitts-Reynolds. She continued to do great things with the program, directing such productions as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland, and Grease. After Ms. Fitts-Reynolds came Bennie Palko. Her productions included Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors, and Harvey. During Ms. Palko's time at the school, several students from the department performed at the prestigious Fringe Festival in Scotland. Then I entered the scene in 2011-2012, and I'm excited for my fourth season at M-CHS.
